Attempting to find my inner cool chick today in today's outfit post! So since the Sydney weather has continued to be amazing I could not resist doing another summer inspired post - and what better way to celebrate summer than colour blocking brights! I have always loved the way in which blue and yellow contrast with each other. It is a bold statement that you dont see very often, but when done right just screams fun and vibrance.
I would also like to thank Brashy Couture for hooking me up with this awesome 'Comme Des Brashy' tee! I was already considering doing a post on how I would style a statement t-shirt when Jacob of Brashy Couture contacted me. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance of a collaboration! Established in 2010 the Brashy Couture brand combines an eclectic use of both iconic and original prints with high quality materials to create t-shirts with a distinctive New York and LA inspired style. The great thing about a tee is that it is surprisingly versatile and can be worn in more than one way. Here I folded up the sleeves to create cap sleeve and tucked it at the waist to create a mid-drift.
I have always been fond of pairing t-shirts with a bold skirt, usually something in a bright colour. But lately I have been obsessed with the asymmetric skirt trend! Simple and chic, it is an easy way to give any outfit a bit of edge. This faux leather skirt from Bardot has been a staple in my wardrobe over the last month and I was so excited to finally get it in a post. I just adore the mid-thigh split and the figure hugging fit.
